Why it matters

goAML in one minute

goAML is the platform the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) uses to receive suspicious transaction reports and the threshold reports certain sectors must file. Under the UAE's anti-money laundering law — now Federal Decree-Law No. 10 of 2025 — businesses in scope must register and report through it.

AED 55,000
Cash threshold that triggers DPMSR and REAR reports
AED 50k–200k
Fine range for failing to register on the FIU system
2 weeks
Window for dealers to file a DPMSR after a qualifying transaction

Is your business in scope?

Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs) are supervised by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, apart from lawyers, who are supervised by the Ministry of Justice. Financial institutions and virtual asset service providers report to goAML too.
