Stay penalty-free

Never miss a VAT return again

Late or incorrect VAT returns trigger FTA penalties. We reconcile your sales and purchases, prepare the VAT 201 return with its emirate-wise breakdown, and file it on EmaraTax on time — with every figure reviewed before submission.

What we check

Every return, reviewed line by line

Most VAT problems are not exotic — they are input VAT claimed on invoices that don't qualify, sales booked to the wrong emirate, or a reverse-charge import that was missed. Since 1 January 2026, reverse-charge supplies no longer need a self-invoice, but you must still keep the supporting documents.

Included every period

  • Sales and purchases reconciled to your books and bank
  • Output VAT split by emirate for the VAT 201 return
  • Input VAT checked for valid tax invoices and blocked items
  • Reverse-charge imports and services captured
  • Return filed on EmaraTax and payment reference sent to you

When things need fixing

  • Errors in past returns corrected through voluntary disclosure where required
  • Refund claims of excess input VAT — now subject to a 5-year limit
  • FTA queries and audit requests answered with your records
  • Penalty review where something was filed late

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How often do I file VAT returns in the UAE?

Most businesses file quarterly; businesses with turnover of AED 150 million or more file monthly. The return and any payment are due by the 28th day after the end of the tax period.

What is the penalty for filing a VAT return late?

AED 1,000 for the first late return and AED 2,000 for a repeat within 24 months. Since 14 April 2026, unpaid VAT also attracts a late-payment penalty of 14% a year, charged monthly from the day after the due date.

What if there is an error in a submitted VAT return?

Errors above the FTA threshold require a voluntary disclosure; smaller ones can be corrected in a later return. We reconcile and review input and output VAT before filing to avoid errors in the first place.

Can you handle VAT filing for free zone companies?

Yes. We file VAT returns for free zone and mainland companies across the UAE, and keep your books audit-ready between periods.
